NextGIS builds business around free and opensource software and data.
Free/Opensource software is the software that you can freely distribute and modify. This reduces dependency on the developer in the long run, gives more control and makes integration more effective. Opensource software is typically distributed for free. Thanks to growing number of developers, opensource GIS are quickly maturing and can already compete as equals with proprietary equivalents in many fields.
- We are particularly interested in openness and believe that it ensures success and effectiveness of the projects;
- We offer full set of services for development, integration and support for your GIS;
- Our specialists have 10+ experience in GIS field;
- We are developers ourselves and we participate as such in various opensource GIS projects;
- NextGIS openly participate in Russian and international communities of GIS specialists.
Our team
We collaborate with companies and groups, that are providing support and dissemination of GIS data and related materials, such as, for example, GIS-Lab.info, that we use to distribute some of our results. This collaboration helps us stay on the edge of progress, provides expertise from the broad group of specialists and makes our contribution to development of GIS in general. This also ensures maximum coverage for our results.
Besides development and documentation, we are trying to reinvest back to the projects which we build our business around. Usually, this funding is not targeted and the project that we support can use funds as needed for the benefit of the project.
